British Society of Periodontology – Web Design
We were asked to design the front-end of the new British Society of Periodontology (BSP) responsive website. We worked closely with both the committee and developers to ensure our designs would suit the technology and engage the members and public alike. We started with mobile devices first and grew our designs from there. We ensured we delivered an excellent and responsive site That works seamlessly across all devices.
The process involved us taking their existing site, and exploring how it could be displayed to suit their current target audience. Not only did the site need to satisfy the needs of its members, but it also needed to be accessible to students and the general public. This process meant it was important for us to explore all avenues of the design and lay out the user’s journey to get the best understanding of the site. After wire-framing the website and researching the market, we got to work setting up the design. As we were working with external developers, communication was essential. We had to make sure everything we were designing was clear and achievable. After a few design stages involving the client and the developers the designs were approved and the development team got to work on the site.
We created a style guide for as many elements within the website as possible to help keep the design consistent. Also, supplying the brand guidelines so that the whole site would come together well.
After the launch of the new British Society of Periodontology website.
Once launched the site worked seamlessly across all devices and allowed its users and members to access archived documents, log into their respective areas, explore more about the BSP and see their latest news and events. The client was very pleased with the final result and has had great feedback since going live.
